It is incredibly difficult to deal with a power outage that lasts for days and we thank you for your incredible patience. This message doesn’t make it much easier, but please know that over 4,000 dedicated utility personnel from all over the United States and Canada are here and working 24 hours a day to restore power to every customer as quickly as possible. Even more help is on the way.
We will continue to restore power to thousands of customers today and virtually all no later than tomorrow night. When there are repairs that affect only one or two customers, they typically take the longest to resolve.
You’re wondering why this takes so long and it is frustrating. Isaias caused about 420,000 outages and as with any storm, some early repairs restored power to many customers. However, a tropical storm causes extensive damage in thousands of locations. You’ve likely seen massive trees knocked down. Removing debris and installing new poles and wires at one location could take 12 hours but restore power to only 20 customers – out of 420,000. This requires days of work, 24 hours a day.

Safety should remain your foremost concern: Never operate a generator in an enclosed space and keep it away from any windows or vents. Assume any downed wire is live and stay away from it.
Please be aware that our customer service representatives, our outage map at www.mypowermap.com and our automated telephone system provide the same information that’s available to all.
Thank you again. We will not rest until your power is back on.
